What kind of training do veterinary ophthalmologists have?
An ACVO ® board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist is an eye doctor who provides eye care to animals. All doctors at Vision Vets For Pets have earned this specialty qualification. Training to become a veterinary ophthalmologist takes many years; typically including veterinary school (4-5 years), an internship (1-2 years), a residency (3-4 years) and completion of a multi-day, in-person examination. Your regular veterinarian may refer you to a veterinary ophthalmologist for many different reasons, but you can rest assured that you and your pet are in good hands with the highly qualified and experienced experts at Vision Vets For Pets.
Using state of the art equipment, we perform comprehensive eye examinations on animals. We are able to detect eye disease at the earliest stages, maximizing the chances of a good outcome when treatment is initiated.

Vision Vets For Pets has the latest equipment to perform diagnostic testing of the eye. We also have capability to perform blood testing, urine testing, blood pressure testing and testing for infectious disease.
